Officials at the critical international travel hub in Ghana, Kotoka International Airport, have declared that they will be needed to monitor PCR on all new foreign arrivals.
The test could be performed at any of the more than 70 samplings in the upper level of the Arrival Space, with the findings within 15 minutes.
A state-of-the-art laboratory, set up at the Arrival Hall’s upper floor for sample preparation, can remotely relay the samples to the port health stations in the main arrival area before passengers arrive.
Passengers will not need to quarantine after the PCR test shows that a successful test is carried out, but those who test positive will need to return immediately to their country of origin.
