Media Coverage
The Annual Meeting 2019 generated more than 42,000 global media mentions, an increase of 23% compared to 2018. More than 400 journalists from more than 50 countries were on-site covering the meeting, including media from influential media outlets in all G20 countries. The sentiment of the coverage was mostly neutral or positive (90%) and focused on the key initiatives and themes of the meeting. The highly talked-about public figures were French President François Hollane, Presidnet of Angola Joao Lourenço.
