SUMAIRA ISAACS

The London based international research institute and a collaboration platform focused on the travel industry, Global Tourism Forum’s Board of Directors is pleased to announce the appointment of Sumaira Isaacs as the new Chief Executive Officer for Global Tourism Forum.

First an artist, then a serial entrepreneur, Sumaira Isaacs is a veteran in the industry with over 25 years of experience working in the hotel and business tourism sector-supporting and creating some of the most successful winning business event destinations. She was both an advisor to the tourist boards, associations or local government (DMC, PCO) and a consultant.

“Sumaira Isaacs is the right person to lead Global Tourism Forum into the future, given her strong command of our business and proven ability to drive results,” said Bulut Bağcı, President of the Global Tourism Forum. “We are on a positive growth direction at GTF and are very well-positioned to continue reshape economies through tourism. Outside of GTF, Sumaira Isaacs is a leader on topics including strategic development, globalization and diversity of today’s tourism industry. To address the gaps in tourism industry and to create an inclusive innovation, she is working as the Member of the Board of Directors of Pakistan Tourism Development Corporation (PTDC). She has close relations with the business leaders and politicians. She has worked as both a destination practitioner (DMC, PCO) and as an advisor consultant to Tourist Boards, Associations and Local Governments in Africa, Middle East, India and north America. She specializes in tourism to MICE development, to destination strategy development and action planning.
