Vivek is a London Business School MBA who forayed into the movie production business after spending time in the Automotive (JK Industries Ltd) and Retail (Future Group) businesses and after actively promoting and marketing Cricket (Sri Lankan Cricket Board) and Motorsport (JK Tyre). He Produced the Hrithik Roshan – Saif Ali Khan – Esha Deol starrer NA TUM JAANO NA HUM (2002) and followed it with CHURA LIYAA HAI TUMNE (2003) where he launched Zayed Khan. Then he was hired as Consulting Producer on Vipul Shah/Manmohan Shetty’s NAMASTEY LONDON (2007) and on AAP KAA SURROOR (2007). He decided hereafter to Produce International Cinema alongside Bollywood with an English language film targeted at a global audience – KARMA (2008) which won awards at Greece and Spain. He went on to coproduce German films INDISCH FUR ANFANGER (2011) and THE BIG BLACK (2011) and also Hollywood film SEAL TEAM SIX: THE RAID ON OSAMA BIN LADEN (2012) aka CODENAME GERONIMO (2012) which was produced by Academy Award winning Producer Nicolas Chartier (who also produced the Oscar winner THE HURT LOCKER). He continues producing Bollywood films with the last ones being Shilpa Shetty’s DISHKIYAOON (2014), THE XPOSE (2014) and TERAA SURROOR (2016).

Vivek is now developing many International as well as Hindi Film projects. On the international side he is Co Producing THE HESTON PRINCIPLE (2017) based on the bestseller by Raj Kundra and this film is directed by JOHN STOCKWELL. He is also in prep on his Wikileaks style cyber espionage thriller CHASING THE CODE (2017). He just completed his micro thriller horror drama titled OUIJA: THE BOARD (2016) starring Dominique Swain and others. He is producing WOMB an arthouse dramatic Sri Lankan film directed by Nishantha Shanthadeva. He was Casting Director on the Austrian film THE HERNALSIAN ELYSIUM in 2016. And most important of all is his passion project WEEKEND (2017) which is a beautiful new age young romance structuring a classical love story in an innovative way and set for filming in April/May 2017 in Antalya in Turkey. He has lead delegations of Indian Producers to Thailand, The Philippines, Los Angeles, Germany, France, Spain, etc. He is also a member of the selection committee of NEW YORK’S INDIAN FILM FESTIVAL. He serves permanently on the jury of CORINTHIAN PELOPONESSIAN INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL in GREECE and on the CYPRUS INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL in CYPRUS. He is now also a Juror in ALTIN CINAR INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL in KAYSERI, TURKEY where he also curated the Indian film section in May 2016.

While studying in LONDON, Vivek had directed a short film THE QUEENSWALK LEGEND which was awarded the Gold Seal for Best Picture at the IAC Film Festival in the UK.
